Privacy

Users’ privacy is ActiveQuiz’s top priority. The ActiveQuiz platform was created to engage people in physical activity through educational quiz games. ActiveQuiz continuously works to improve the user experience while ensuring a safe gaming environment.

Safe environment

• No integration with social media
• No external links
• Creating a personal profile is optional (using your email address)

Data collection

ActiveQuiz’s app and web platform do not collect any hidden personal information about users. Anonymous statistics on app downloads and device types are collected to support internal product development. Data used to calculate scores, such as walking distance, walking speed and answers to quiz questions, are collected to present competition results. ActiveQuiz also collects email addresses for user authentication when users choose to create a profile, which is not required to use the app.

The ActiveQuiz app uses location data to track users’ movement in order to generate quiz questions during a walk. However, location data does not leave the user’s device and is used only in real time to calculate distances.

The app also requests access to the camera in certain circumstances, such as taking a profile photo or scanning a QR code. Users are asked to grant these permissions in the app, but they are not required to use its basic functionality, namely playing quiz challenges.
