ActiveQuiz FAQ
General Questions
What is ActiveQuiz?
The ActiveQuiz platform binds knowledge and physical activity together. During your walk, questions appear on the screen on a topic chosen by you or a QuizMaster. For the questions to appear, it is required that you walk a certain distance, or reach specific points on the map with the phone in your pocket or hand.
ActiveQuiz is used by a variety of people in society - Teachers who break a sedentary lesson with a quiz walk outdoors, companies that organize internal health competitions, authorities that collect feedback in walking surveys, organizations that educate staff in an activating way, and individuals who create personal and entertaining quiz walks for parties, weddings and other get-togethers.
People and organizations arranging quiz competitions can either create their own questions and answer options or choose from a variety of ready-made quizzes in the official QuizBank. There are different game types to choose from depending on the target group and situation:
Distance
Distance-based quizzes allow participants to play from wherever they want as long as they walk a certain distance.GPS Stations
Quiz questions appear on the screen as players approach each and every station placed on the map by a QuizMaster.QR Code Stations
A non-GPS-based game type, such as stations with scannable QR codes, is a good alternative if you want to be able to play indoors without a GPS signal.
As a QuizMaster, you can upload your own images or search among thousands of film clips, animations and still images. You can see statistics of your own quizzes; how many people play, what distance they generate, and what questions the players find difficult or easy, etc.
You as an individual player can create a personal profile, follow up on your results and reach different performance levels linked to general knowledge and walking distance. Challenge friends, family, and colleagues in walking quiz duels. If you are an active QuizWalker, you get 'walks' as a reward that can be used to create quizzes.
The purpose of ActiveQuiz is to promote public education and public health. Although ActiveQuiz is aimed toward all ages, there is a particular focus on getting kids and teenagers moving, and providing a fun tool for disseminating knowledge. ActiveQuiz therefore offers subsidized prices to schools and non-profit organizations.
Digital tools shouldn't be synonymous to sitting still

Can I buy ready-made quiz events and get help creating quizzes?
Yes, ActiveQuiz' employees have vast experience in setting up events based on various situations and demands. It could be an internal health competition at a company, a municipality that wants to welcome new residents with information, a fun way to carry out surveys at an authority, or entertaining quizzes for private events such as weddings, birthday parties or any other celebration-worthy event. A QuizMaster from ActiveQuiz will suggest a plan for you based on the information you provide.
It is common for organizations to want ActiveQuiz to take care of the entire process, from creating questions and answer options with images and text, to sending results to the participants at the end of a competition. Some clients also want a competition leader from ActiveQuiz to give a live-streamed introductory and inspiring presentation at the start of a challenge.
Example:
You as an HR manager can for example order a competition where your employees go on two quiz walks per week for 10 weeks where the participants compete against each other in different branches of knowledge, individually or in teams.
You can also get personal help with onboarding in the system if you or your colleagues wish to learn best practice on how to create quizzes and set up challenges.
You are welcome to contact ActiveQuiz with any questions, ideas and requests.
Is it possible to try the service before purchasing?
Yes, it is perfectly possible to try out both creating and playing quizzes, all free of charge!
If you want to take a quiz walk, there are so-called 'open quizzes' that you can play without a subscription. Go to the Search section in the ActiveQuiz app (second menu button), press 'Filter' -> 'Access Type' -> 'Open Quiz' to see what quizzes are available.
You can create quizzes and let a limited number of people take your quiz walks free of charge. Creating a profile will land you three 'walks', which means that three rounds of quiz walking can be carried out for free by any persons entering your QuizCode in the app.
Here’s how:
Create profile
Download the ActiveQuiz app (from AppStore or Google Play) or go to the web platform activequiz.com to create a profile. A verification message will be sent to the email address you provide. When you have clicked on the link in the email, your email address has been verified and you will automatically receive three 'walks'.
Create quiz
Go to activequiz.com from a computer or tablet, click the green 'Create Quiz' button, which will take you to an overview where you can create and manage your quizzes. If you want a detailed description on how to create a quiz, click here.
Publish
When you're done creating questions and answer options, select 'Allow Guest Players' so that anyone with your QuizCode can access the quiz. Then click 'Publish' in the lower right corner to make your quiz available to play in the app. You will then get a description on how others can play; either by entering your unique QuizCode in the app, or by photographing the QR code that also appears in the description.
Tip:
After you close the game instructions window, you can still see your QuizCodes in the left column next to the quiz titles. You can also open the window again by selecting the quiz in the list and clicking on the following symbol: .
If you don’t want your users being able to play anonymously, don’t tick "Allow guest players" - instead choose to add specific names to a player list, which will generate individual PlayerIDs. A PlayerID, which is a unique code, can be given to each person or team that you want to see participating in your challenge.
Can ActiveQuiz be used in different languages?
Yes, the person or organization creating the quiz can write content in any language. The language that the QuizMaster chooses to use in his/her quiz does not have to be the actual system language, i.e. the languages that are available for users to choose in the app regarding menus and buttons. In other words, users can have the system language of the app set to, for example, Swedish and still play a quiz in French.
If you want to change the system language in the app; go to the profile page (: fourth menu button) and click on the current flag to the right of the header to select one of the languages in the list.
What is the difference between 'QuizWalker' and 'QuizMaster'?
A QuizWalker subscription is for individuals who want to play quizzes from the official QuizBank, while the QuizMaster role is intended for people and organizations who want to create quizzes and conduct walking competitions, team-building events, surveys or just entertaining walks.
Both QuizWalker and QuizMaster are available in subscription form, but QuizMaster rights can also be purchased individually for single events. Regardless of which QuizMaster package you purchase, you are automatically given access to premium for the duration of every QuizMaster package. In other words, the QuizMaster role allows you to both create quizzes as well as play premium content in the app.
What is a QuizCode?
A QuizCode is used to access a specific quiz or folder with several quizzes.
QuizCode Example: #MIX@SPORTS
If you received a QuizCode from a competition leader; enter it on the front page of the app in the "QUIZCODE" field to start your walk.
You can also access quizzes by scanning QR codes with your phone instead of entering QuizCodes.
To QuizMasters: Each quiz has its own unique QR code that appears when you publish a quiz. If you happen to close the window, you can find each quiz's QR code by selecting the quiz and clicking on the QR symbol ().
To players: You can of course play ActiveQuiz without either a QuizCode or QR code. Challenge yourself, friends, colleagues or others to quiz duels - Choose one of the quizzes displaying on the front page of the app, or get more suggestions by going to 'Search' (second menu button []).
What is a PlayerID?
A PlayerID is a code to enter at the start of a quiz walk to identify a person or team. Like QuizCodes, PlayerIDs are always written in capital letters and/or numbers.
PlayerID Example: CHAMIL1
Far from all quizzes require players to enter a PlayerID, as it is up to the competition leader to decide if players should be able to play anonymously by entering their own nicknames, unless it is important for the competition that participants can be identified.
Most quiz challenges allow guest players, meaning anyone can play with any nickname. But if the competition leader wants to be able to distinguish different players/teams on the scoreboard for the purpose of, for instance, awarding prizes, PlayerIDs are preferable.
How do I create a quiz?
Below is a description on how to create a quiz:
Log in or create a profile on the ActiveQuiz website. Next, click the green 'Create Quiz' button on the home page, which will take you to the quiz creator view.
Create a quiz
Clicking "Create a Quiz" will open a window with quiz settings. Enter a title, author and description. Upload your own image or search in the image bank. Then select quiz type, category, language, level of difficulty, and finally click 'Create' to save the basics of your quiz.
Add questions & answer options
Add questions in the middle column by clicking the green plus icon. Enter your question, choose a display image (your own or from the image bank), and enter 2-4 answer options. Then click 'Save'.
Choose how players will reach your quiz
In the third column, choose if 'guest players' should be allowed, or if you want to create lists of PlayerIDs. Guest players can play anonymously by entering any nickname/screen name at the start, whereas PlayerIDs are linked to specific individuals or teams.
Publish & play
Click 'Publish' () in the lower right corner to make your quiz available in the app. Players can either enter your QuizCode in the app, or photograph a QR code, to access the quiz.
For a more detailed description on how to create a quiz, click here.
Can I use ready-made quizzes?
Yes, you can choose from many different ready-made quizzes in the official QuizBank by searching for specific phrases or get suggestions by browsing categories. You’ll find the QuizBank in the same window used to create quizzes, but under the tab to the right.
The creators behind the quizzes in the QuizBank have all given consent that their content may be used by other QuizMasters. Please note that it is not possible to change the image and text in an imported quiz. However, you can change other settings such as game type, distance, QuizCode, as well as publication and scheduling settings.
If you know that a friend or colleague has created a private quiz that is not available in the QuizBank, but that you wish to use, you can ask them to share the quiz with you. The person must then mark the quiz or folder and click on the share button (), whereupon a link will be generated. When you click the link, the system will ask if you want to import the quiz or folder into your profile.
What are the differences between 'game types'?
People and organizations that organize quiz competitions can choose from three different game types depending on the target group and situation:
Distance
Distance-based quizzes allow participants to play from wherever they wish as long as they walk the distance.GPS Stations
Quiz questions appear on the screen as players approach the stations placed on the map by a QuizMaster.QR Code Stations
A non-GPS-based game type such as scannable QR codes is a good alternative if you want your users being able to play indoors without a GPS signal.
How are points calculated?
There are three scoring parameters when playing ActiveQuiz:
Answering questions
The main points are awarded for answering questions. 100 points are given for correct answers, and 0 for incorrect answers.Response time
The faster you answer a question, the more points you’ll get. You can get a maximum of 20 points per question if you answer within 2 seconds. The score ticks down as time goes by. After 21 seconds points are no longer given for response time.Walking speed
Walking speed gives relatively few points as physical activity itself is rewarded higher than the actual walking pace. The number of points is determined by the average speed at the end of the walk and is intended to serve as a qualifying score if other results are even. Walking speed can give a maximum of 12 points.*
Example: If you play a quiz with 10 questions, you can get a maximum of 1,212 points.
* Moving faster than 17 km/h indicates that you are using means of transportation other than your legs, which entails that distance nor points are counted during the time the limit is exceeded.
The App
Is the app available for all phones?
You can download the app to all modern phones with updated operating systems from Apple or Google (iOS and Android). The oldest versions of the operating systems compatible with the ActiveQuiz app are iOS 11 and Android 7 (Nougat).
NOTE! Regarding distance- and GPS -based quizzes, your device needs a GPS receiver to be able to measure distances between questions, and position your device when moving between geographical points. There is another game type that doesn't require GPS reception – ‘QR Code Stations'.
Can I play ActiveQuiz without creating an account?
Yes, in order to participate in a quiz walk, it is enough to enter the QuizCode received from the person or organization arranging the quiz walk. You do not have to enter your name at the start, but can enter any nickname or display name, unless the QuizMaster has closed the guest function and requires so-called PlayerIDs.
At the end of the walk, you get a results screen where you can see your answers and move on to the current scoreboard. From the results screen, you can also create a profile by entering your email address and preferred password if you want your results to be saved on your mobile phone. Regardless of whether you choose to create a profile, your results will remain on the leaderboard.
We recommend that you create a profile so that you can track your results and reach different achievements. In addition, you get three free 'walks' that can be used to let other people walk quizzes created by you.
When I enter a QuizCode, no quizzes appear. What's wrong?
If you as a player enter a QuizCode in the app without any quizzes being displayed, check that the code is spelled correctly. Hashtag () should not be included when entering a QuizCode.
If the problem persists, the reason may be that no published quizzes are associated with the specific code. Ask the person or organization from which you received the QuizCode to check if the quiz has been orderly published, or if any scheduling or subscription has expired and needs to be renewed.
To QuizMasters: Creating a quiz is not enough - you must actively click the 'Publish' button () in the quiz creator view (a green button at the bottom right) for the quiz to be made available in the app. Please follow this checklist if you continue to experience difficulties accessing quizzes.
Are users’ devices required to have GPS reception to play?
No, GPS reception is not required for a user to be able play ActiveQuiz. A QuizMaster, i.e. the person who creates a quiz, can choose a non-GPS based game type - 'QR code stations'.
Just like distance- and GPS station-based quizzes, QR code stations are based on the player walking to gradually unlock questions, but does not require GPS reception as it is enough to have internet connection to scan a QR code.
The most popular game type in ActiveQuiz is 'Distance'. Therefore, it is recommended that players generally use devices with GPS reception.
The app does not measure motion when placed in background mode. What's wrong?
To be able to use the ActiveQuiz app when the screen of your mobile phone is locked (to play with the app in your pocket for example) or when you have another app in the foreground, go to your phone's settings -> ActiveQuiz app permissions for location services and GPS -> 'Always allow'.
From where should a quiz be started and what distance can one go?
The most common game type is 'distance' and is based on players walking a certain distance to activate questions on the screen. The game type is GPS-based, and it doesn’t matter where you start from or in which direction you go during your quiz walk as long as you cover the specific distance predefined by the competition leader.
If you as a QuizMaster want to be able to influence which route players take, 'GPS stations' is a game type that is more accurate than distance-based quizzes. In GPS station-based quizzes, players need to get close to every pre-defined spot on the map to answer a question.
Can you pause a walk and continue later?
No, there is no button to pause a quiz walk that has already been started. Such a function could be exploited in competitions and give unfair advantages to players who would get longer thinking time.
However, if the app were to be shut down for some reason, it is possible to resume a quiz. When the app is started after a system crash, you will be asked if you want to continue the unfinished quiz walk.
Create Quiz
Can I get a detailed description on how the quiz creation process works?
Of course! Start by logging in or creating a profile. If you have played a quiz before, you might have already entered an email address and password at the end of your walk to save your result? In that case, you can use these details to log in to www.activequiz.com.
Click the green 'Create Quiz' button on the home page of the ActiveQuiz website, which will take you to an overview where you can create and manage your quizzes. On the left, in the purple column, a list of quizzes will be built as you create them.
Create a quiz
Click on "Create a Quiz" to get to a window with settings. Enter title, author and description. You can upload your own image as a display image for your quiz or choose one from the image bank. Then select what game type you want your participants to play (distance, stations, step counting or time). Choose category, language and level of difficulty for your quiz, and decide whether you want to keep the quiz private or make it available in the official QuizBank. Finally, to save the basics of your quiz, click 'Create'.Add questions & answer options
With your quiz selected, you can now add questions in the centre column by clicking the green plus symbol. Enter your question, choose a display image (your own or from the image bank), and enter 2-4 answer options. The answer options can be text or images. Then click 'Save'.Choose how players will reach your quiz
In the third column, make a choice whether 'guest players' should be allowed, or if you want to create lists of names and PlayerIDs for full control of who plays. Guest players can play anonymously by entering a nickname/screen name of choice at the start of a quiz, while PlayerIDs are linked to specific individuals or teams that you as QuizMaster name.Publish & play
When you're happy with your content and settings, click 'Publish' in the bottom right corner to make your quiz available for in-app play. You will then receive a description on how others can access your quiz; either by entering the quiz's unique QuizCode in the app, or by scanning the QR code with a mobile camera. The QR code also appears in the description.
NOTE! If you, as QuizMaster, have chosen to have the quiz open to guest players, this means that anyone with your QuizCode can play, which is the most common type of access. But if you chose to only allow players with PlayerIDs, a unique code needs to be entered per person/team in order to start the quiz. In that case, don't forget to give both QuizCode and PlayerIDs to your participants.
Tip:
When you close the game instructions window, you can still see the QuizCode in the left column next to the quiz title. You can also open the window again by selecting the quiz in the list and clicking on the following symbol: .
How many questions can be included and how long is the quiz?
There is no limit to how many questions you as a QuizMaster can create, or any threshold regarding walking distance. To get as high a participation as possible and to maximize the number of people crossing the finish line, 10-20 questions are recommended on a distance of 2-4 km.
For distance-based quizzes, you as QuizMaster set a total distance for the entire quiz, which is automatically distributed evenly between the number of questions you chose to include. This means that you cannot put, for example, 100 meters between questions 1 and 2, and 200 meters between questions 3 and 4.
If you instead choose the game type 'GPS Stations', the total distance is determined and automatically calculated by the distance between the various points (stations) you place on the map. When players get close to a station, a quiz question appears on the screen. The exact route or distance the player travels to get to each station is up to the players themselves.
For a description on how to create quizzes, click here.
Is it free for my participants to play?
Yes, you as QuizMaster take the cost. When you have published one or more quizzes, and activated a QuizMaster package, your participants can play without having to pay anything. Ask them to enter your unique QuizCode on the front page of the app, or give them a QR code to photograph with their mobile cameras to access the quiz.
Pick your desired volume (number of walks) and buy a QuizMaster package here.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes, you can upload your own images when creating a quiz. The most common image formats (jpg, png, gif, tif, webm) work as long as the images do not exceed 10 mb/each. Keep in mind that you are responsible for the images not being copyright protected.
You can also choose images from the image bank – animations and film clips as well as still images. The image bank can be found in the same window as the image upload, but under the tab on the right.
What does a 'walk' mean?
A 'walk' is defined as a completed quiz round, i.e. a user who has reached the finish line after playing one of your published quizzes. As a QuizMaster, you can buy packages with different numbers of walks depending on your demands; either through recurring refills (subscription) or as a one-off event.
Every time a person plays one of your published quizzes, a walk is deducted from your walk pool. However, the player must reach the goal, i.e. have his result registered, for a walk to be counted as completed.
If you're worried about unauthorized players draining your walk pool, you can either choose a clever QuizCode, or protect access to your quizzes by allowing only pre-selected players. In such case, avoid ticking 'Allow guest players' - instead create a list of PlayerIDs, one per person or team. Each player then enters their unique ID at the start of the quiz.
Everyone who plays a quiz, and chooses to register a profile at the end of the walk, gets three free walks that can be used to try out the QuizMaster role. You can also get free walks by being an active QuizWalker reaching different achievement levels in the app.
What should I do if I run out of walks?
You can upgrade your subscription at any time to include more walks per month, or top up with temporary event purchases. It is possible to combine an ongoing subscription with single purchases, which is good if the number of users temporarily increases during a period of time.
When only 10% of your walks remain, you will be notified as QuizMaster via the email address associated with your profile. In case of high usage, the number of walks can be overdrawn by 5%. Any overdraft is deducted from the next purchase.
NOTE! If you choose to tick the box 'Contribute to the public QuizBank' when you create a quiz, you don't have to worry about your walks being used up. If your quiz is accepted after review and added to the QuizBank, the quiz in question will receive a different QuizCode with its own scoreboard completely separated from your quiz.
Can I share a quiz to other QuizMasters?
Can I duplicate a quiz for myself?
Yes, you can duplicate a quiz by clicking the 'Duplicate' button (). You find the button on the same row as the quiz title, when it’s highlighted/selected in the left menu.
Tip:
The duplication function comes in handy if you want to use the same quiz for different target groups or situations but wish to make minor adjustments without having to change back and forth.
NOTE! If you instead want to share your quiz with another QuizMaster, i.e. to another account, you can use the share function. The share button () is found next to the duplicate button (). When the other QuizMaster accepts the share and imports your quiz into their account, the quiz in question will be a directly linked copy, and any content changes you make in the future will be reflected in all accounts that have your quiz imported.
What is the difference between ’guest players’ and ‘PlayerIDs’?
Guest player and PlayerID are names for two different player types. Guest players do not need to identify themselves with a code but can play anonymously by entering a nickname/screen name of their choice at the start of a quiz, while PlayerIDs are linked to specific individuals or teams named in advance by the quiz creator (QuizMaster).
If the QuizMaster has chosen to have a quiz open to guest players, it means that anyone with the QuizCode can play. But if the QuizMaster has chosen to only allow players with PlayerIDs, a unique code needs to be entered in order to start the quiz. In this way, the QuizMaster can control who gets to play, making it easier to identify winners at the end of a competition.
PlayerID Example: CHAMIL1
When you as a QuizMaster enter a name in a player list, the first three letters of the first and last names automatically form a PlayerID - for example, 'Charlotte Miller' becomes CHAMIL. If you enter two or more players with the same name combination, a number is added at the end to keep each ID unique. These automated PlayerIDs are simply suggestions and can be changed by you as the QuizMaster, however using only uppercase letters.
The reason why QuizMasters choose to activate PlayerIDs is partly to be able to distinguish winning persons or teams on the scoreboard, partly to prevent cheating, i.e. the same player playing several times and improving his/her result.
Examples:
If a company organizes an internal competition, there may be reason for the QuizMaster to use lists of PlayerIDs. This means that participants cannot enter their name themselves at the start of the quiz, but have to enter a code each (PlayerID) that already has a name attached to it. If, instead, the option to enter nicknames were activated, it could mean difficulties identifying winners.
If a municipality wants to make a walking quiz available to the public, it would be impossible to activate PlayerIDs as a unique code must be provided to each player. In this case, the QuizMaster (municipality) should choose to have the quiz open to 'guest players' so that all visitors have the opportunity to participate without any limitation.
NOTE! Both player types can be active at the same time, i.e. people who wish to play anonymously can do so, while players with unique PlayerIDs can identify themselves and play in parallel. However, it is unusual for QuizMasters to choose to activate both types at the same time, but can be beneficial in a situation where, for example, invited celebrities are to play, and the public is offered to challenge them.
My participants say they can't access my quiz. What's wrong?
If players are having difficulty accessing one of your quizzes in the app, ensure that the quiz in question is published: Go to the quiz creator view and make sure the green 'Publish' button is ticked (). If you have set a start and end date for the availability of the quiz, check that the scheduling does not deviate from the dates you intended: Click 'Publish' to open a window with a calendar where the date range can be set and modified.
If players are still experiencing problems accessing your quiz, please check the following:
Do the players have internet access on their devices?
Is the QuizCode spelled correctly?
Is the quiz that the player is trying to access located in the correct folder (vvery folder has its own QuizCode)?
Are there any available 'walks' left in the QuizMaster account? *
If players are still having trouble accessing one or more quizzes using a specific QuizCode, contact the ActiveQuiz Support.
* Read more about 'walks' here.
How do I protect my quizzes from being played by unauthorized people?
As a QuizMaster, you have full control of when your quizzes should be available for usage. The easiest way to control quiz access is to publish and unpublish quizzes. Publish settings can be found at the bottom right in the quiz creator view (a green button).
Other steps you can take to prevent unwanted usage:
Choice of QuizCode
Choose a difficult QuizCode that cannot be guessed.
Publishing setting
Schedule your quizzes so that the QuizCode only works within a specific time span so that users cannot play until the contest starts.Identification of players
Disable anonymous play by disabling guest players. Instead, create player lists with unique PlayerIDs (one per person or team) and distribute them to intended participants. *
* Turn on/off the ability for guest players to participate by clicking "Allow Guest Players" (third column in the quiz creator view). In the same column there are also "Player lists (PlayerID)" where you can create lists for specific persons and teams. If you choose to create one or more player lists, do not forget to activate them by ticking the respective list before publishing the current quiz.
I want to present a quiz walk to a group of people. How do I?
The first step is to create your own quiz, or import a ready-made one into your personal QuizMaster account, which you can read about here. Once you publish a quiz, there are two different ways for your participants to reach it: either by entering your unique QuizCode in the app, or by photographing a QR code with a mobile camera.
ActiveQuiz can be used for public events with thousands of participants as well as for smaller private events. Regardless of whether it concerns a limited group of people who will play in the same geographical location, or if the participants are located in different time zones or will play at different occasions, you as the competition leader are recommended to inform players how to get started with their quiz walk. Below are three simple steps that can be useful to communicate before the competition.
Instruction suggestion:
Download app
Go to the AppStore if you have an iPhone, or to Google Play if you have an Android, and download the ActiveQuiz app.Enter QuizCode – or – Scan QR code
Start the app and enter the following QuizCode - or - photograph the following QR code with your mobile camera.
---PLACE FOR QUIZCODE & QR CODE---Go play!
Questions appear on the screen as you go. Good luck!
You can also contact ActiveQuiz and schedule an appointment with a QuizMaster who can present your quiz challenge on a live-streamed link or through a pre-recorded video.
Tip:
If you or your participants want to warmup before the actual quiz competition takes place, it is possible to play ready-made quizzes free of charge directly in the app:
Download the ActiveQuiz app from AppStore or Google Play, open the app and enter #QUIZWALK in the "QUIZCODE" field: Go out for a walk with your mobile phone in your hand or pocket.
You can also choose from several other quizzes, either on the front page of the app or by going to 'Search' (). Enjoy!
NOTE! To display only 'open quizzes' on the search page, i.e. quizzes that can be played free of charge without a monthly subscription, press 'Filter' -> 'Access type' -> 'Open quizzes'.
For information about QuizCodes and QR codes, click here.
What does it mean to 'contribute to the public QuizBank'?
If you think your own-made quizzes might be suitable for the public and want to make them available in ActiveQuiz's official QuizBank, please submit them for review so they can be made accessible to both players and other QuizMasters. Tick "Contribute to the public QuizBank" when you create a quiz if you want ActiveQuiz to initiate a review process.
If a quiz is accepted into the QuizBank, it means that anyone with a QuizWalker account can play the quiz, and that QuizMasters can import it into their account. You still own the copyright to your quiz, which means that QuizMasters cannot change the text or image content. However, they can change the game type and settings such as distance and placement of stations on a map, etc.
Changes you make to a quiz, after it has been approved and added to the QuizBank, will not be reflected in the public version as it no longer has any connection to your original quiz, but is separated with a separate QuizCode and scoreboard to not drain your walk pool.
If you want to keep a quiz private, you should instead select "Keep the quiz private" in the quiz's settings, which makes it available only to people who have its specific QuizCode.
Miscellaneous Questions
Can we as an association make money from quiz walks through ActiveQuiz?
Yes, non-profit associations, with their subsidized pricing on ActiveQuiz products, have the opportunity to offer quiz walks for a fee, or resell QuizMaster packages to individuals or organizations who wish to support the association's activities.
You can create your own quiz and offer visitors and sponsors to play for a higher price than the association's purchase price. An excellent way to spread knowledge about your association while also providing a source of income.
You as an association can also resell QuizMaster packages to visitors and sponsors who in turn receive codes (QuizCodes) to create their own quizzes for personal or professional use to challenge friends, family or colleagues in knowledge-filled walking competitions.
If you as an association are interested in making money through ActiveQuiz - contact the ActiveQuiz support here.

I think my organization has an account with you, but I'm not sure about the login details. Can you help us?
Of course! The best way to recover a lost password is to go to the login page on the web (www.activequiz.com) or to the ActiveQuiz app and click 'Forgot password?'. Enter the email address used when the account was created and a reset link will be sent to the email address through which you can choose a new password.
If you do not remember which email address is associated with your account, or if the email address has expired or cannot receive messages, you are of course welcome to contact the ActiveQuiz support for assistance.
